Zach Yost
Zach Yost is a PhD student in Cinema and Media Studies at the University
of Chicago. His research addresses processes of abstraction and the
construction and interchange of concepts between social, technical, and
aesthetic domains, engaging with histories and philosophies of media,
science, and technology. In recent work, he has focused on the legacies
of principles from thermodynamics, information theory, and ecology as
they are elaborated within neoclassical economics and complementary
technologies. He also enjoys films about time.
