Jun Mizukawa
Jun Mizukawa teaches in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology,
and in the Department of Religion at Lake Forest College. Her most
recent research focuses on experimental projects in Japan that aim to
establish a more sustainable, site-specific, animated entanglement
across species. Her fieldwork in the northeast coast of Japan explores
culturally informed responses to disasters, past and future. In addition
to her work on media and technology in Japan and the political ecology
of the 3.11 disaster, she’s a regular contributor to a journal dedicated
to the work of the Japanese poet Noriko Ibaragi.
