Yangquiao Lu



Yangquiao Lu is interested in the many ways land and media are held together. This entails questions concerning media mechanisms and processes necessitated and mobilized by land on one hand; and on the other, politics and aesthetics of land as it is processed and constructed by visual knowledge and practices in geo sciences and visual logics of popular and artistic media. Her current research focuses on the conceptualization of geomedia through scientific and artistic abstractions and expressions found in ancient and contemporary media objects, engaging media studies, STS, and cultural studies.
